    Mecate Reins $37.99

    Our Mecate Reins are made with a premium 9/16 double braid polyester yachting rope. The lead end is weighted with a leather popper and the bit end is finished with a shorter leather popper. If you'd prefer a tassel with a fancy turks knot on the bit end simply check the optional tassel box above.     Our double braid polyester rope is dirt, sweat, mildew, rot and UV resistant. This means your rope will stay truer to it's original form much longer, without fading, stretching, popping or elongating.

    JUST AS GOOD AS THE ONES THE PROFESSIONALS SELL

    So happy to find Mecate Reins just a bit shorter than what many of the clinicians sell. The others are just a bit too long to use comfortably for our pony sized horse. They are of great quality and have a nice weight and feel.

    EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR

    THESE REINS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL (I GOT THE TAN, BROWN AND BLACK BLEND). THEY ARE A GREAT WEIGHT AND HAVE AN ABSOLUTELY LOVELY FEEL TO THEM.

    In Love with these

    I bought these for a horse I am training. I love that I can work him on the ground if need be with the mecate. The reins are a great weight and feel, and even after my horse laid down in the river with me and these reins, the mud washed right off and they still looked new. I've had them about 6 months now, ride with them about 5 days a week and they have softened perfect where my hands are and have kept color wonderfully! Because of these reins I bought new slobber straps, leadline, and a bridle package from B & H
